Job Description

Roles & Responsibility

  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop nursing care plans.
  • Monitor and document patients' clinical condition and report changes promptly.
  • Administer medications, IV fluids, blood products, and prescribed treatments safely.
  • Prepare patients for diagnostic and surgical procedures.
  • Collect and label specimens accurately and communicate critical laboratory values.
  • Assist during physician rounds and coordinate multidisciplinary care.
  • Manage admissions, transfers, and discharges.
  • Maintain infection prevention practices and ICU quality indicators.
  • Ensure functionality and preventive maintenance of clinical equipment.
  • Maintain inventory, documentation, and patient safety standards.
  • Report incidents and participate in quality improvement initiatives.

Specialized CTVS & Transplant Responsibilities

  • Assess critically ill cardiac and transplant patients.
  • Manage ventilators, monitors, and other life-support equipment.
  • Perform emergency nursing interventions and CPR.
  • Monitor post-transplant patients for organ rejection, hepatic/portal vein thrombosis, bleeding, and other complications.
  • Administer immunosuppressive medications and monitor therapeutic levels.
  • Practice strict reverse barrier nursing and infection control.
  • Coordinate pre-transplant evaluations and post-transplant follow-up.
  • Develop individualized discharge plans with the multidisciplinary team.
  • Maintain transplant documentation and patient records.
  • Educate patients and families regarding transplantation, medications, follow-up care, and lifestyle modifications.
