Job Title: Node.js Technical Architect

Experience : 12-16 Years


Job Summary

Seeking a hands-on Node.js Technical Architect to design and lead scalable, cloud-native applications. The role involves defining architecture, leading engineering teams, driving technical decisions, and ensuring successful delivery of enterprise-grade SaaS products.


Responsibilities

  • Architect and develop scalable backend systems using Node.js and TypeScript.
  • Design microservices, REST APIs, event-driven architectures, and integration frameworks.
  • Lead architecture reviews, code reviews, and technical governance.
  • Drive containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Design and optimize database solutions using PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis.
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines and DevOps best practices.
  • Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Business stakeholders.
  • Pro-active to continuously improve processes, find ways to speed up releases while improving quality.
  • Mentor development teams and provide technical leadership.
  • Ensure system performance, security, scalability, and reliability.
  • Leverage AI both for speeding development, and integrating into products.
  • Expert in making trade-offs calls, and ability to decide what is acceptable technical debt.
  • Monitor systems and team processes.

Required Skills

  • 10+ years in software development with 3+ years in architecture roles.
  • Strong expertise in Node.js, TypeScript, and JavaScript.
  • Experience with microservices and distributed systems.
  • Hands-on experience with Kafka or similar messaging platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud services, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD.
  • Experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis.
  • Expertise in API design, system integration, caching opportunities and scalable architecture patterns.
  • Experience leading engineering teams and large-scale software projects.
  • Demonstrate ability to create and architecture products from scratch as well as to understand and evolve a large code base and take care of accumulated technical debt.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with monorepos.
  • Knowledge of SAFe Agile or Scrum frameworks.
  • Experience in multi-tenant SaaS platforms and high-volume transaction systems.
  • Experience with other languages than JS (Java, python, etc.)
  • Experience with setting up development processes, KPI management
