Network Security Engineer

Role & responsibilities

• Decommission services (removal of IP address, external DNS entries, SSL certificates) across firewalls, load balancers, external DNS, proxy, and micro-segmentation.
• Change management, creation of runbooks, SOP change requests, and coordination to approve changes. - Perform software upgrades on firewalls, load balancers, proxy, micro-segmentation, and network security management applications.
• Troubleshoot priority incidents across firewalls, load balancers, proxy, micro-segmentation, external DNS, and CDN (with DOS).
• This includes guiding the L2 operational team to make emergency changes during incident(s).
• Implement daily changes across firewalls, load balancers, proxy, micro-segmentation, external DNS, and CDN.
• This includes implementation of planned DR activities.
• Provide planned go-live support of newly released projects.
• The candidates will be tasked to immediately assist with decommission initiatives and the ongoing software upgrade program across the network security environment.
• Additionally, the candidates will be tasked with further automation regression testing, being the first users to utilize newly developed automation tools, and help provide practical feedback to the automation engineers how the actual tasks need to be performed.
