Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and versatile Network Engineer to oversee and manage the organization s entire IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate should possess strong hands-on expertise in networking, firewalls, server management, and infrastructure security. This role involves end-to-end responsibility of ensuring availability, performance, security, and scalability of all infrastructure components.
Network Firewall Management
- Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Fortigate Firewalls (VPNs, security policies, NAT, IPS/IDS).
- Manage and monitor managed switches, Wi-Fi routers, VLANs, and internal network performance.
- Perform regular network assessments and ensure security compliance.
Server Backup Administration
- Manage rack servers (setup, RAID, health monitoring, patching).
- Perform and monitor server and database backups (automated/manual).
- Handle recovery plans and disaster recovery simulations.
System Application Management
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot Windows-based systems (including AD, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy).
- Maintain and license enterprise and development software
- Oversee Active Directory user/group management and policy implementation.
Office IT Equipment Access Management
- Maintain CCTV infrastructure, access control systems, and biometric devices.
- Support and maintain printers, scanners, conferencing equipment, and other office IT hardware.
Dev Tools Software Deployment
- Provide access and environment setup for development tools (eg, Git, Jenkins, IDEs).
- Perform software installations and updates across departments.
Email, Inventory Licensing
- Monitor corporate email systems, security, usage, and access.
- Maintain IT asset inventory (hardware, software, licensing, warranties).
- Ensure compliance with software licensing and renewals.
- Fortigate Firewall administration (NSE certification is a plus)
- Windows Server 2016/2019/2022, AD, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy
- Managed switches (HP/Cisco/Aruba) VLAN, STP, LAG
- CCTV and biometric access systems
- Backup tools (eg, Veeam, Acronis, Windows Backup, SQL backup tools)
- Software inventory and license management (SCCM or manual tracking tools)
- Network troubleshooting tools (Wireshark, SolarWinds, PRTG)
- Basic database (SQL Server/MySQL) understanding for backup purposes
- Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis
- Excellent time management and multitasking abilities
- Clear communication and documentation skills
- Ability to work independently and under pressure
- bachelors Degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field
- Relevant certifications (eg, Fortinet NSE, CCNA, MCSA/MCSE, CompTIA Network+)
- Experience supporting IT infrastructure in a mid-size to large organization Exposure to ITIL practices and ticketing systems
- Familiarity with hybrid cloud setups (Azure/AWS) is a plus.
