Music Teacher

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct music classes focusing on various aspects of music, including theory, vocals,

and instrumental skills.

• Teach different genres of music such as classical, western, folk, and contemporary,

based on the curriculum.

• Prepare students for performances in school events, cultural programs, and

competitions.

• Assess students' progress and provide feedback to help them improve their musical

abilities.

• Organize and lead school choirs, bands, or ensembles, as appropriate.

• Create a positive, inclusive, and creative learning environment in the music

classroom.

• Collaborate with other teachers to integrate music into interdisciplinary school

activities.

• Maintain and manage musical instruments and resources required for teaching.

• Stay updated with the latest trends in music education and integrate them into lessons.

• Encourage teamwork and discipline through group musical performances.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Music or related field.

• Proven experience as a Music Teacher in a school or educational institution.

• Proficiency in teaching vocal and instrumental music (knowledge of western and/or

Indian classical music is a plus).

• Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to inspire and engage students with diverse musical interests and abilities.
