Job Description
Core Responsibilities
- API Design & Development: Build RESTful and SOAP APIs using API-led connectivity and RAML (or OpenAPI) specifications.
- Integration Flows: Develop and configure complex flows, sub-flows, and DataWeave scripts for data transformation and mapping (e.g., JSON, XML, CSV).
- Platform Management: Deploy, monitor, and manage APIs using the Anypoint API Manager and Runtime Manager.
- Error Handling: Design robust exception/error handling and retry mechanisms to maintain integration reliability.
- Collaboration: Work with business analysts, QA teams, and enterprise architects to translate integration requirements into technical solutions.
- Best Practices: Perform code reviews, unit testing, and maintain technical documentation.
Essential Skills
- Tools: Proficiency with Anypoint Studio, Anypoint Exchange, API Manager, and Runtime Manager.
- Languages: Strong expertise in DataWeave, Java, and web service technologies.
- Concepts: Solid understanding of API-led connectivity, EAI (Enterprise Application Integration) patterns, and Web Services.
- Protocols/Formats: REST, SOAP, HTTP, JMS, XML, and JSON.
- DevOps & CI/CD: Experience with version control (Git), Maven, and automated deployment pipelines.
- Certifications: Often requires or highly prefers valid credentials like the MuleSoft Certified Developer (MCD) - Level 1 or Integration Architect titles
