Job Description
- We are looking for an experienced MongoDB / MariaDB DBA to manage, maintain, and optimize database systems
- The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in both NoSQL and relational databases, ensuring high availability, performance, and security
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and manage MongoDB and MariaDB databases
- Monitor database performance and optimize queries
- Implement backup and recovery strategies
- Ensure high availability using replication and clustering
- Manage database security, access control, and compliance
- Troubleshoot database issues and ensure uptime
- Work with development teams for database design and optimization
Required Skills
- Strong experience in MongoDB and MariaDB administration
- Expertise in replication, clustering, and sharding (MongoDB)
- Hands-on with performance tuning and query optimization
- Knowledge of backup tools and disaster recovery strategies
- Experience with Linux/Unix systems
- Familiarity with monitoring tools and automation scripting
Good to Have Experience with cloud databases (AWS / Azure / GCP) Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD Scripting skills (Python, Bash) Exposure to containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)
