Job Description Key Responsibilities
We are looking for an experienced Senior Piping Design Modeler with extensive expertise in AutoCAD Plant 3D , piping layout engineering, and 3D modeling for Water & Wastewater Treatment, STP, ETP, and Process Plant projects. The candidate will lead piping modeling activities, ensure adherence to engineering standards, mentor junior modelers, and coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver high-quality design outputs.
- Lead the development and management of detailed 3D piping models using AutoCAD Plant 3D for Water Treatment, Wastewater Treatment, STP, ETP, and Process Plant projects.
- Review and approve piping layouts, General Arrangement (GA) drawings, isometric drawings, piping support drawings, and fabrication deliverables.
- Interpret P&IDs and engineering documents to develop accurate and constructible 3D piping models.
- Plan piping routing considering constructability, maintenance access, safety, and project specifications.
- Coordinate with Process, Mechanical, Civil, Structural, Electrical, and Instrumentation teams for seamless model integration.
- Review vendor drawings and ensure accurate incorporation of equipment data into the 3D model.
- Lead clash detection activities and coordinate resolution of interdisciplinary clashes.
- Generate and review piping isometrics, Bill of Materials (BOM), MTOs, and project reports from the 3D model.
- Ensure compliance with client specifications, engineering standards, and company quality procedures.
- Guide and mentor junior modelers and draftsmen, ensuring adherence to drafting standards and project schedules.
- Participate in design review meetings with internal teams, clients, and consultants.
- Support engineering teams during project execution by resolving design-related queries and implementing approved revisions.
- Drive continuous improvement in modeling practices, standardization, and design efficiency.
