About the role
Orica is currently looking for experienced Technical Services Engineers who will be our trusted partners to our customersbringing together blast design expertise, product stewardship, and on-site technical support to deliver safer, more efficient blasting outcomes
In this role, youll work closely with customers and internal teams to analyse blast performance, introduce differentiated products and services, and translate technical insight into measurable value on site
Work with a global leader in mining and blasting solutions, gaining exposure to innovative products, advanced technology, and complex customer challenges, while being part of an organisation with a strong focus on safety, continuous learning, and technical developmentoffering a role that balances hands-on field exposure with deep technical expertise and meaningful customer impact
What you will be doing
Providing technical services support with a strong focus on blast design, measurement, and optimisation
Building strong, trusted technical relationships with customers
Analysing blast data and performance against baselines to drive continuous improvement
Supporting product stewardship, including misfire investigation and product application reviews
Introducing and implementing new products, services, and technical solutions
Developing case studies and supporting technical differentiation
Delivering customer training and accreditation on Orica products, systems, and courses
Actively promoting safety and compliance with Orica and site standards
What you will bring
Essential Tech / Diploma in Mining Engineering or a related discipline
Basic explosives and drill & blast knowledge
Ability to support basic blast designs and field measurements
Results-driven mindset with good communication skills
Strong commitment to safety
Preferred 13 years experience in a production or site-based drill & blast environment
Experience with preand post-blast measurement techniques
Exposure to misfire investigation and product assessment
Ability to identify risks and support safe blasting approaches
