Role Summary

Provides L3 operational support for enterprise applications running on JBoss/WildFly, Apache, Tomcat, and container platforms. The role focuses on availability, performance, monitoring, and incident resolution in 247 production environments, with escalation to L3 for complex design issues.

Core Skills (MustHave)

• Application support on JBoss / WildFly / Tomcat / Apache
• Handson experience with containers and Kubernetes / Red Hat OpenShift
• Experience implementing and supporting CI/CD pipelines
• Application server configuration & tuning
  (Heap size, thread dumps, heap dumps, GC logs)
• Strong troubleshooting across application, OS, and container layers
• Unix/Linux administration and commandline skills
• Knowledge of SSL certificates, SSO concepts, and networking basics
• Willingness to work in 247 shift support environment

GoodtoHave

• Shell scripting
• Basic SQL / MySQL query knowledge
• Exposure to Pentaho
• Good communication and documentation skills

Key Responsibilities

• Provide L3 application support for middleware and application platforms
• Perform installation, configuration, and upgrades of application servers
• Monitor applications and services; configure alerts and dashboards
• Perform application performance tuning and issue remediation
• Support containerized workloads on Kubernetes / OpenShift
• Implement and support CI/CD pipelines
• Ensure application availability, stability, and SLA adherence
• Handle incidents, service requests, and change activities
• Maintain runbooks, SOPs, and operational documentation
• Owns daytoday stability and support execution
