Job Description
Key Responsibilities
Install, configure, and administer Oracle WebLogic Server and Apache Tomcat.
Deploy, redeploy, and manage Java EE applications (WAR, EAR, JAR files).
Configure and manage WebLogic domains, managed servers, clusters, Integration and Node Manager.
Configure Apache Tomcat instances, virtual hosts, connectors, and SSL certificates.
Monitor server health, JVM performance, thread dumps, heap dumps, and garbage collection.
Perform application migrations between environments.
Configure load balancing and session replication.
Troubleshoot application server issues, startup failures, memory leaks, and deployment problems.
Implement security best practices including SSL, authentication, authorization, and user management.
Perform backup, patching, upgrades, and maintenance activities.
Work with development, QA, database, and infrastructure teams during application releases.
Maintain documentation for server configurations and operational procedures.
Required Skills
Strong experience with Oracle WebLogic Server administration.
Strong experience with Apache Tomcat administration.
Good knowledge of Java, JVM tuning, and Java EE applications.
Experience with Linux/Unix administration.
Knowledge of WebLogic clustering, Node Manager, and domain configuration.
Experience with SSL/TLS certificate configuration.
Familiarity with web servers such as Apache HTTP Server or NGINX.
Understanding of load balancers
Knowledge of monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, AppDynamics, or Dynatrace.
Good understanding of networking concepts (HTTP, HTTPS, TCP/IP, DNS).
