Job Description

MICE SALES

Job Purpose:

To plan, manage, and execute sales strategies to maximize revenue from MICE and events-related opportunities. This role involves building and maintaining relationships with corporate clients, event organizers, and other stakeholders, ensuring exceptional service delivery, and meeting sales targets.


Key Responsibilities:

Sales and Business Development:

  • Proactively identify and secure new MICE and events business opportunities.
  • Develop and implement a strategic sales plan to meet and exceed sales targets.
  • Build and maintain relationships with corporate clients, event planners, travel agencies, and associations.
  • Conduct client presentations, sales calls, and site inspections to promote the property or venue.
  • Maintain an updated pipeline of potential clients and leads.

Event Coordination:

  • Collaborate with the Events and Operations team to ensure seamless planning and execution of MICE and events.
  • Act as the main point of contact for clients, ensuring their needs and expectations are met.
  • Provide accurate event details, schedules, and requirements to internal teams.

Market Research and Analysis:

  • Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to identify market opportunities.
  • Conduct regular market analysis to adapt sales strategies to changing conditions.
  • Participate in MICE-related trade shows, networking events, and conferences to represent the organization.

Budgeting and Reporting:

  • Prepare accurate sales forecasts and budgets for MICE and event-related activities.
  • Generate weekly, monthly, and annual reports to track performance against targets.
  • Manage contracts, invoicing, and payments related to MICE bookings.

Team Collaboration:

  • Work closely with marketing teams to develop promotional campaigns and materials tailored for MICE clientele.
  • Liaise with F&B, Operations, and other departments to deliver exceptional event experiences.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelors degree in Hospitality, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 5 years of proven sales experience in MICE, events, or hospitality industries.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems and MS Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of the local and international MICE markets is a plus.
  • Flexibility to travel and work irregular hours as required.
