Mern Stack Developer

Role Overview

We are looking for a Senior Full Stack Developer on a contractual basis with strong experience in JavaScript, ReactJS, NodeJS/ExpressJS, and MongoDB. The candidate should be able to independently design, build, and maintain scalable web applications and backend services.

They should also be comfortable using AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity, code quality, testing, and documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications using ReactJS and NodeJS.
• Build robust APIs and backend services using ExpressJS.
• Work with MongoDB for schema design, queries, optimization, and data modelling.
• Collaborate with product, design, QA, and engineering teams to deliver features within agreed timelines.
• Use AI-assisted development tools for coding, debugging, refactoring, documentation, and test generation.
• Stay aware of tools such as Cursor, ChatGPT, code review assistants, and automation/test harnesses.
• Review code, guide junior developers where needed, and follow engineering best practices.
• Troubleshoot production issues and improve application performance, reliability, and scalability.

Required Skills

• Strong proficiency in JavaScript and ReactJS.
• Strong backend development experience - NodeJS and ExpressJS and Mongo.
• Good understanding of REST APIs, authentication, authorization, and third-party integrations.
• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD workflows, and agile development practices.
• Practical awareness of AI-assisted development tools and responsible usage in software delivery.
• Strong problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills.
