Job Description

Job Summary

The MEP Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, executing, and monitoring all Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, ELV, HVAC, and Utility services across real estate projects. The role ensures timely project delivery while maintaining quality, safety, statutory compliance, and cost efficiency. The candidate should possess strong technical expertise, leadership capabilities, and stakeholder management skills.

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning & Execution

  • Lead end-to-end execution of in-house MEP works for residential, High-rise apartment
  • Develop MEP execution strategies aligned with project timelines and construction schedules.
  • Coordinate with architects, structural consultants, and project teams to ensure seamless integration of MEP systems.
  • Monitor project progress and ensure timely completion of milestones.

Design & Engineering

  • Review and validate MEP designs, drawings, BOQs, specifications, and shop drawings.
  • Coordinate with design consultants for value engineering and design optimization.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and local authority requirements.
  • Identify technical issues and provide practical engineering solutions.
  • Procurement of required m material within the timeline in coordination with procurement dept

Contractor & Vendor Management

  • Evaluate, appoint, and manage MEP contractors, consultants, and suppliers.
  • Monitor contractor performance with respect to quality, timelines, and safety.
  • Verify contractor bills, measurements, change orders, and variation claims.
  • Ensure timely procurement and delivery of MEP materials and equipment.

Quality & Safety

  • Ensure all MEP installations comply with approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
  • Implement QA/QC procedures throughout project execution.
  • Ensure adherence to all safety regulations and environmental guidelines.
  • Conduct regular inspections and quality audits.

Cost & Budget Control

  • Prepare and monitor MEP budgets and cash flow requirements.
  • Track project costs and recommend cost optimization initiatives.
  • Evaluate technical and commercial proposals from vendors and contractors.
  • Support procurement and contract management activities.
  • Should be aware of NBC & Specification for materials related to MEP

Testing, Commissioning & Handover

  • Supervise testing and commissioning of all MEP systems.
  • Ensure timely completion of snag rectification.
  • Coordinate statutory inspections and approvals.
  • Facilitate project handover with complete documentation, O&M manuals, and as-built drawings.

Stakeholder Coordination

  • Coordinate effectively with internal departments, consultants, contractors, clients, and regulatory authorities.
  • Participate in project review meetings and provide regular progress reports.
  • Resolve technical and execution-related issues promptly.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical / Civil Engineering
  • Additional certifications in Project Management or MEP systems are preferred.

Experience

  • 1215 years of relevant experience in MEP execution
  • Proven experience handling high-rise residential, commercial, or mixed-use developments.
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously is preferred.

Technical Skills

  • Strong knowledge of, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, ELV, STP/WTP, DG, Lift Systems, and Building Management Systems.
  • HVAC, Electrical knowledge is added advantage
  • Familiarity with NBC, IS Codes, IEC Standards, and local statutory regulations.
  • Knowledge in AutoCAD and Microsoft Project/Primavera.
  • Working knowledge of BIM/Revit is an added advantage.
  • Strong understanding of testing, commissioning, and facility handover processes.
  • Electrical High side knowledge is preferable
