Marine Engineer For a Marine Solutions Company in Mumbai

We are market leaders in the sale and distribution of Marine Distress Signals, Diving Equipment, EPIRB and SART, SSAS, Marine Chemicals, Navigation and Communication (NAVCOM) Equipment. Our OEM trained engineers provide life-saving services: such as liferaft, lifeboat and fire-fighting services, including pyrotechnic disposal. In the Electronic segment we do installation and repair of all NAVCOM equipment, Gyro servicing, PCB Repair and SRT Surveys.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Title Manager- Marine Engineer

Reports To General Manager

Location Turbhe, Navi Mumbai

Working days 5 days a week,

(May require to work on some weekends (Work from home)

As this profile also requires ship repairs coordination/managing both clients & Service team, candidate should be flexible to coordinate & handhold ship repairs around the clock. Flexible to timings.

KEY ACCOUNTABLES

• Accountability for Ship repairs happening across world in their respective time zones.
• To interact with Multinational clients (Technical Managers /Vessel Superintendent /Purchasers) in view of Ship repair projects worldwide & trading of Marine spare parts/equipments.
• Accountable for allotted Market area to generate sales & achieve target.
• Takes part in Business Development, Client Management & Vendor Management.

REQUIRED SKILLS

• Marine Engineer with at least 3 years of sailing experience or/and in handling Marine repairs/ spare parts sales from the Merchant Navy. Min 1 1year Shore Job experience will be an added advantage.
• Self-Learner and ability to grasp concepts, with positive attitude.
• Excellent Academic Performance.
• Good Communication & ability to grow in the industry.
• Basic knowledge of excel & Word.
• Ability to take pressure and work under pressure.
• Flexible to work in time & weekends (whenever required)
