Manual Tester

Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Manual Tester to join our Quality Assurance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for testing web applications, APIs, and integrated systems to ensure high-quality software delivery. The candidate should have strong experience in functional testing, integration testing, API validation, defect tracking, and end-to-end testing across multiple platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform manual testing of web applications, mobile applications, and software products.
• Validate business requirements and functional specifications through comprehensive test execution.
• Conduct API testing using tools such as Postman, Swagger, or similar platforms.
• Test and validate multiple third-party and internal system integrations.
• Create, review, and execute test cases, test scenarios, and test plans.
• Perform functional, integration, regression, smoke, and sanity testing.
• Verify data flow between systems and ensure seamless integration functionality.
• Identify, document, and track defects using bug-tracking tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar tools.
• Collaborate closely with developers, business analysts, and product owners to understand requirements and resolve issues.
• Participate in requirement analysis and provide feedback from a QA perspective.
• Validate UI/UX functionality and ensure applications meet business and user expectations.
• Conduct end-to-end testing across multiple environments.
• Prepare test execution reports and communicate testing status to stakeholders.

Required Skills

• 2+ years of experience in Manual Testing.
• Strong knowledge of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and defect management processes.
• Hands-on experience in API testing using Postman, Swagger, or similar tools.
• Experience testing integrations between multiple applications, services, and third-party systems.
• Good understanding of HTTP methods, REST APIs, JSON, XML, and API response validation.
• Experience in web application testing across different browsers and devices.
• Ability to create detailed test cases and test scenarios from business requirements.
• Experience using defect tracking tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Bugzilla, or similar.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Basic knowledge of SQL for database validation.
• Familiarity with automation testing concepts and tools.
• Experience with mobile application testing is an added advantage.
• Knowledge of performance and security testing concepts is a plus.

Educational Qualification

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
