Role Overview

We are looking for a Manual Test Engineer with 23 years of hands-on experience in manual testing and exposure to test automation. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of functional and regression testing and be interested in developing their automation testing skills.

The role involves working closely with developers, Business Analysts, and QA Leads to ensure high-quality delivery of enterprise applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, create, execute, and maintain manual test cases based on functional and business requirements.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, system, and end-to-end testing.
• Identify, document, and track defects using JIRA, Bugzilla, or similar defect management tools.
• Validate defect fixes and conduct regression testing to ensure application stability.
• Execute existing automation scripts and support automation framework enhancements.
• Collaborate with developers, Business Analysts, and QA Leads to understand requirements and resolve defects.
• Prepare test execution reports, defect summaries, and other QA documentation.
• Ensure adequate test coverage and adherence to defined QA processes.
• Participate in release validation and production support activities when required.

Required Skills

• Strong understanding of Manual Testing concepts and methodologies.
• Hands-on experience in Functional and Regression Testing.
• Exposure to automation tools/frameworks such as Selenium, TestNG, JUnit, or similar.
• Good understanding of SDLC and STLC.
• Hands-on experience with JIRA, Bugzilla, or other defect tracking tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.

Domain Experience

Experience in testing Banking, Financial Services, Corporate Banking, or Enterprise Applications will be an advantage.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• 23 years of relevant experience in Manual Testing, with exposure to Automation Testing.

Preferred Attributes

• Experience in Banking/Corporate Banking domain testing.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
• Willingness to work night shifts and weekends, based on business/project requirements.
• Strong ownership, attention to detail, and a quality-focused mindset.
• Interest in developing into a QA Automation Engineer role.

Important Requirement

Candidates must be comfortable working remotely in a night-shift schedule, including weekends as required by the project.

Candidates who are comfortable with the required shift timings and project working requirements will be preferred.
