Role Overview:
We are looking for a dynamic professional to drive the strategic growth of our service business across India. In this role, you will shape central sales initiatives, develop customer-centric strategies, and enable regional teams to deliver exceptional service experiences.
You will be responsible for designing and optimizing the right product mix, pricing, brand positioning, promotional offers, and training frameworks that empower teams across the country. Working closely with cross-functional stakeholders, you will translate market insights into scalable strategies that enhance customer value and business performance.
This is a high-impact role for professionals who enjoy solving business challenges through data-driven decision-making, strategic planning, and collaboration. The role involves periodic travel to understand market dynamics and support regional alignment.
Key Responsibilities:
Market Benchmarking (Strategic Activity)
- Right product price: Lead monthly benchmarking of competition performance to identify pricing gaps.
- Right communication: Translate insights into customer-centric strategies on price, range, and offers
- Right store: Provide regionalized recommendations that align with local market expectations, ensuring store-level relevance.
Ranging (Strategic Design, Local Adaptation)
- Right portfolio: Define the product portfolio for each Zone using market and store insights
- Right product in right store: Curate offerings that reflect local customer needs, ensuring regional relevance
Profitable Mix (Influence, Not Execution)
- Right margin: Strategically plan the mix of products to maximize profitability
- Guide operational teams by highlighting margin-driven priorities at store and category levels
Pricing Strategy (Central Framework, Local Application)
- Right product price: Develop pricing strategies based on benchmarking and elasticity analysis
- Provide strategic guardrails for local teams to achieve conversion and margin objectives
Offer Optimization (Central Constructs, Regional Execution)
- Right consumer offer: Design promotional frameworks centrally
- Adapt constructs for region/category/product/store bundles to enhance customer engagement and incremental sales
Brand Portfolio Management (Strategic Oversight)
- Alliance with brand: Shape the brand mix to ensure relevance across regions.
- Provide strategic direction for brand positioning and portfolio balance, including OEM category selection.
Productivity & Output Focus (Strategic Interventions)
- Drive the Service Turnaround Program (ZMxCM) by identifying gaps and defining interventions.
- Partner with Zone Managers and Category Managers to analyze what has worked, what hasnt, and where strategic adjustments are required
- Use tools like Know App to raise tasks, define actions, and escalate where performance gaps persist,
Training-led Initiatives
- Analyze field performance data to identify product understanding, SOP, and pitch quality gaps
- Segment store teams into learning cohorts based on region, tenure, and performance levels
- Develop targeted training programs for each cohort with measurable outcomes
- Work with training team to develop content for changes done to the portfolio
Preferred candidate profile
Store Managers and Assistant Store Managers with 5-6 years of managerial experience possessing good analytical and interpersonal skills willing to work from Corporate office
Candidates from Consumer Electronics & Appliances industry are preferred
