Job Description


The Manager Sales will be responsible for driving revenue growth, expanding market share, and leading the sales function for the assigned product portfolio. The role involves developing sales strategies, managing key customer relationships, mentoring regional sales teams, forecasting business, and collaborating with Product Management, Clinical Application, Marketing, and Service teams to achieve organizational objectives.
Key Responsibilities

Sales Strategy & Business Development
  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve annual and quarterly business objectives.
  • Drive revenue growth across assigned territories and product portfolios.
  • Identify new business opportunities, market segments, and customer acquisition strategies.
  • Develop sales expansion plans for new geographies and untapped markets.
  • Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities.


Sales Leadership
  • Lead, mentor, and develop Regional Sales Managers and Sales Executives.
  • Set sales targets and monitor team performance against KPIs.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews, coaching sessions, and field visits.
  • Build a high-performance sales culture focused on customer satisfaction and business growth.
  • Drive accountability and ownership across the sales organization.


Key Account Management
  • Build and maintain relationships with:
  • Corporate hospitals
  • Government institutions
  • Private hospitals
  • Diagnostic chains
  • Eye hospitals
  • Dealers and distributors
  • Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs)
  • Negotiate commercial agreements and large-value contracts.
  • Support strategic customer acquisition and retention initiatives.


Business Planning & Forecasting
  • Prepare annual sales budgets and territory plans.
  • Develop accurate sales forecasts and demand planning.
  • Review sales pipelines and opportunity conversion.
  • Monitor profitability and pricing strategies.
  • Ensure achievement of revenue, margin, and collection targets.


Tender & Institutional Business
  • Lead participation in government and institutional tenders.
  • Review tender specifications and pricing strategies.
  • Coordinate with regulatory, finance, and supply chain teams for successful execution.
  • Manage large institutional projects from quotation to installation.


Cross-Functional Collaboration

Market Intelligence
  • Analyze competitor products, pricing, and market strategies.
  • Identify market trends and customer needs.
  • Recommend portfolio expansion opportunities.
  • Provide regular business intelligence reports to management.


Sales Operations
  • Review CRM updates and sales pipeline management.
  • Ensure reporting discipline across the sales team.
  • Monitor quotation conversion ratios.
  • Improve sales productivity through process optimization.


People Development
  • Identify training needs within the sales team.
  • Conduct product and sales skill development programs.
  • Mentor future sales leaders.
  • Support succession planning initiatives.
Educational Qualification
  • Bachelors Degree in Science, Biomedical Engineering, Biotechnology, Life Sciences, Pharmacy, or related discipline.
  • MBA in Marketing or Sales (Preferred).
Experience:
  • 1015 years of sales experience in Medical Devices, Diagnostic Equipment, Healthcare Technology, or Capital Medical Equipment.
  • Minimum 45 years in a team management role.
  • Proven track record of consistently achieving sales targets.
  • Experience in institutional sales and channel management is highly preferred.
