Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Sales professional to drive business growth across Government organizations, Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs), and other public-sector institutions. This role is responsible for developing strategic relationships, driving revenue growth, managing key government accounts, and leading end-to-end sales engagements for cybersecurity solutions.
The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of selling enterprise technology solutions to Government customers, managing public procurement processes, and achieving aggressive revenue targets within the Government and PSU ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities :
Revenue Growth & Business Development :
- Drive revenue generation through Government departments, PSUs, Smart City initiatives, and public-sector projects.
- Identify, develop, and convert new business opportunities within Central and State Government organizations.
- Acquire new customer accounts while expanding business within existing accounts.
- Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline to consistently achieve quarterly and annual sales targets.
Key Account Management :
- Manage and grow strategic Government and PSU accounts.
- Develop relationships with senior Government officials, procurement teams, and key decision-makers.
- Understand customer priorities, technology roadmaps, and cybersecurity requirements.
- Drive upselling and cross-selling opportunities across the customer base.
Tender & Bid Management :
- Lead end-to-end management of Government tenders, RFPs, RFQs, and bid submissions.
- Coordinate with internal technical, legal, commercial, and operations teams to ensure compliant and competitive submissions.
- Monitor upcoming procurement opportunities and proactively position solutions.
GeM & Public Procurement Management :
- Leverage expertise in Government e-Marketplace (GeM) processes and workflows.
- Manage bid participation, product listings, order processing, and procurement compliance.
- Stay updated on Government procurement policies and frameworks.
Partner & Ecosystem Management :
- Collaborate with channel partners, distributors, and System Integrators (SIs) to drive business growth.
- Develop partner-led opportunities and strengthen the ecosystem to maximize market coverage.
- Ensure alignment between internal teams and external partners for successful deal execution.
Sales Planning & Forecasting :
- Maintain accurate opportunity tracking and revenue forecasting.
- Ensure a healthy sales pipeline with adequate coverage against assigned quotas.
- Provide periodic business updates, market intelligence, and competitive insights.
Desired Candidate Profile :
Must-Have Experience :
- 7 - 15 years of experience in Enterprise Sales, Government Sales, or Public Sector Sales.
- Proven success in selling Cybersecurity, IT Infrastructure, Networking, Cloud, SaaS, Software, or Enterprise Technology solutions.
- Strong experience managing Government departments, PSUs, Smart City projects, Defence-related projects, or public-sector accounts.
- Hands-on experience with Government procurement processes, tenders, RFPs, RFQs, and bid management.
- Working knowledge of GeM (Government e-Marketplace) and public procurement frameworks.
- Strong account management and business development capabilities.
Preferred Skills :
- Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
- Strong negotiation, presentation, and consultative selling abilities.
- Ability to work with senior Government officials, procurement authorities, and ecosystem partners.
- Experience managing large and complex enterprise sales cycles.
- Consistent track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
