Job Description

As the Manager/Assistant Manager- Partnerships & Fundraising, you will shape and execute Khan Academy India s fundraising strategy. You will build and manage relationships with donors, expand our funding pipeline, and translate our product vision into compelling long-term philanthropic opportunities.
This is a high-impact role requiring strategic thinking, strong execution, and cross-functional collaboration.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategy & Planning
  • Partner with the Head of Partnerships & Fundraising to develop and execute a comprehensive fundraising strategy for India
  • Identify and prioritise new donor segments, partnerships, and funding opportunities
Donor Management & Stewardship
  • Build and deepen relationships with existing donors through regular engagement and strategic reviews
  • Ensure strong alignment between donor priorities and Khan Academy s mission and programs
Fundraising Execution
  • Lead end-to-end fundraising efforts, including prospecting, pipeline development, and donor outreach
  • Develop high-quality proposals, presentations, and communication materials for foundations and individual donors
  • Represent Khan Academy at conferences, events, and networking forums
Cross-functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with product, program, and finance teams to align fundraising efforts with organisational priorities
  • Ensure timely and high-quality donor reporting in line with expectations
YOU NEED
  • 5 10 years of overall experience, with at least 4 years in a partnerships or fundraising role within nonprofits, foundations, or corporate CSR functions
  • A demonstrable track record of securing and stewarding major gifts and large institutional grants, with the ability to translate organisational vision into compelling cases for support.
  • Strong project management instincts, with a bias toward execution over process.
  • Sharp attention to detail and exceptional written communication skills with the ability to tailor tone, depth, and framing across audiences, from donor proposals and grant reports to internal briefs and leadership decks.
  • A Masters degree in public policy, business administration, nonprofit management, or a related field.
  • A genuine belief in the power of education to drive systemic change this one isnt negotiable.
