Job Description: Manager, IoT Cybersecurity
Position Overview
We are seeking a seasoned Senior Manager IoT Cybersecurity to lead compliance driven security programs for global clients. The ideal candidate will combine deep technical expertise in IoT product security with proven experience in regulatory alignment, vendor certification coordination, and large scale compliance program execution. This role requires strong leadership, client engagement, and the ability to translate complex regulatory requirements into actionable strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Compliance & Regulatory Alignment
- Lead IoT cybersecurity compliance programs aligned with Cyber Resilience Act (CRA), Radio Equipment Directive (RED), and IEC 62443-4 standards.
- Interpret evolving regulatory requirements and map them to client product development and operational environments.
- Develop audit ready methodologies and frameworks for clients across manufacturing, automotive, healthcare, and financial services.
- Product Security & Development
- Guide clients in embedding security-by-design principles into IoT product development lifecycles.
- Conduct security architecture reviews, threat modeling, TARA, and risk assessments for connected devices and platforms.
- Define and implement secure development practices, including vulnerability management, secure coding, and penetration testing.
- Vendor & Certification Management
- Coordinate with third-party vendors, certification bodies, and regulators to achieve cybersecurity certifications for IoT products.
- Manage vendor relationships to ensure compliance with international standards and client-specific requirements.
- Oversee certification readiness assessments and remediation programs.
- Program Leadership
- Design and run large scale compliance programs for enterprise clients, ensuring measurable outcomes and regulatory adherence.
- Lead cross-functional teams (engineering, compliance, legal, vendor management) to deliver end-to-end cybersecurity initiatives.
- Provide executive level reporting, dashboards, and risk insights to client leadership.
- Client Engagement & Advisory
- Act as a trusted advisor to CxOs and senior stakeholders on IoT cybersecurity strategy and compliance.
- Deliver workshops, executive briefings, and regulatory updates tailored to client industries.
- Support business development by shaping proposals, thought leadership, and go to market strategies in IoT cybersecurity.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in cybersecurity consulting, product security, or compliance program management.
- Strong knowledge of IoT security standards and frameworks: CRA, RED, IEC 62443-4, NIST IoT guidelines, ISO/SAE 21434 (preferred).
- Proven track record in leading compliance programs across multiple geographies and industries.
- Experience in IoT product security development (secure design, testing, certification).
- Experience coordinating with vendors, certification bodies, and regulators for cybersecurity certifications.
- Excellent communication skills with ability to engage executive stakeholders and translate technical requirements into business outcomes.
- Strong project/program management skills with experience in large-scale, multi-stakeholder initiatives.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with cloud security, OT/IT integration, and industrial IoT ecosystems.
- Strong foundation in embedded software security and IoT device security.
- Experience with:
- IEC 62443-4-1, IEC 62443-4-2, IEC 62443-3-3
- EN 303 645 for consumer IoT
- RED DA with EN 18031
- Knowledge of and ability to navigate key standards and regulatory schemes:
- EN 62443-4-2
- EU Cyber Resilience Act (CRA) and upcoming EN 40000 series
- Regional and international schemes: UK PSTI, NIS2, ISO 27001, NIST, US Cyber
