Manager, Finance & Reporting

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Manager, Finance & Reporting to join our growing finance team. Reporting to the Global Corporate Controller, this critical role is responsible for overseeing the companys financial reporting processes, ensuring compliance with US GAAP, and delivering clear, impactful financial insights to senior leadership and key stakeholders. The ideal candidate is expected to have strong hands-on experience in financial reporting and controllership within a global environment.

Job Description

Financial Reporting & Compliance

• Financial Reporting & Close: Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial statements in accordance with US GAAP reporting requirements.
• GAAP Reporting Experience: Strong experience in financial reporting under GAAP standards, ensuring compliance and accuracy in reporting.
• Audit Support: Act as a primary point of contact for external auditors and coordinate audit requests, supporting schedules, and documentation.
• Internal Controls: Design, implement, and monitor internal controls over financial reporting to ensure compliance and safeguard company assets.

Reporting, Analysis & Leadership

• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline, standardize, and automate financial reporting processes to improve efficiency and reporting quality.
• Stakeholder Management: Partner with cross-functional teams including Operations, Legal, FP&A, Tax, and External Auditors to support financial reporting and business requirements.
• Team Mentoring: Mentor and support financial analysts and accounting professionals by providing guidance, knowledge sharing, and career development support.
• FP&A Coordination: Work closely with FP&A teams to support forecasting, variance analysis, and financial planning activities.

Technical & Preferred Expertise

• Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with US GAAP.
• Hands-on experience with ASC 842 (Lease Accounting) and ASC 606 (Revenue Recognition).
• Canadian CPA qualification is preferred.
• Experience working in Manager-level financial reporting or controllership roles is preferred.
• Experience working with multinational organizations, Global Capability Centers (GCCs), SaaS, Technology, or US-based companies is preferred.
