Role & responsibilities

  • Inspection & Authorization of Permit To Work Systems (Hot Work Permit, Confined space permit) issued at plant, identify the gaps & carried out improvements.
  • Carried out plant safety inspection, preparing and submitting the unsafe acts, unsafe conditions, Near Miss observed at plant areas and recorded.
  • Preparing Safety & Health training calendar based on the TNI or as per area specific Hazard, training execution as per plan & training evaluation.
  • Conducting on the job & off the job safety training to plant employees & contractor employees, Contractor employees safety training, Safety induction training program for new joiners & visitors.
  • Maintaining & upkeep of Fire Extinguishers and automated Fire Fighting System (Fire smoke detection system, LHS cable & sprinkler system).
  • Arranging emergency mock drill, Fire drills at plant.
  • Carried out Practical Fire Extinguishers, Fire Drills
  • Review & update of HIRA (Hazard Identification & Risk Assessment), Work
  • Instructions & SOP, carried out PSSR (Pre Start Up Safety Review) for new
  • Installations & modifications.
  • Monitoring of Legal compliance & maintaining Statutory inspections like Pressure vessels inspection in Form 11, Lifting tools and tackles inspection in Form 10 & Goods cum passenger lift in Form 09. etc.
  • Conducting Safety Committee Meeting, Contractor Safety Meeting once a month and sharing the MOM for further improvements.
  • Monthly Safety & health performance reporting & presenting to the site management.
  • Reporting of Injury/Incident carried out RC investigation & CAPA.
  • Maintaining & upkeep of Fire Extinguishers, First aid boxes.
  • Development & execution of Safety CAPEX for site safety improvement
  • Celebration of Safety Promotional activities like National Safety Day & Week.
  • Carried out safety improvements through displaying Safety Signage, Safety posters, Safety & Health Policy.

Technical Knowledge:

  • Sound knowledge of all statutory compliances related to Factories Act 1948 and Environmental Act.
  • Good Understanding of Stop 6+2 system
  • Good understanding of BBS.
  • Sound knowledge of PCB.

Preferred candidate profile

  • Manufacturing companies (Specifically Tier-1 Automobile /Sheet metal Industry/ Household Plastics Moulding)
  • B.Sc or M.Sc. in chemistry | BE Chemical | PDIS | ADIS
