Manager - Engineering (Hotel Maintenance -MEP)

Role & responsibilities

• Create departmental budget based on the condition of equipment, cost of utilities, spares and services, utilization based on Room and F&B business forecast. Seek approval on the budget and regularly review against the same.
• Facilitate energy conservation measures and take steps to reduce wastages.
• Set engineering standards and guidelines for the department. Based on competitor analysis and customer feedback, suggest process improvements.
• Ensure through routine inspection that all equipment is in good condition and scheduled for preventive maintenance regularly. Communicate the maintenance schedule to the users department for getting the work clearance.
• Coordinate implementation of renovation and refurbishment measures, by liasioning with contract agencies and user departments periodically.
• Coordinate with electricity board - TSSPDCL, pollution control board - TSPCB, and Telangana Drinking Water Supply Corporation Ltd., (Krishna Water supply) for the supply of electricity and water to the hotels and renewal of licenses. Implement the recommendations of the government authorities and ensure compliance.
• Ensure compliance and preparation for external / internal audits, facilitate audits and take corrective action to rectify non - compliance issues. Ensure accurate records are maintained.
• Identify and review areas of renovation within the hotel premises, supervise the selection of architects, consultants, vendors and contractors on the basis of quotations received and monitor progress periodically.
• Based on feedback from guests and employees on the existing services and hotel infrastructure, drive modifications / changes in the existing process / service flow. Ensure satisfactory resolution of complaints.
• Co-ordinate with the HR Department in all employee related initiatives and conduct people management responsibilities.
• In addition to the above mentioned duties and job functions, any other assignment given by the Management within the scope of job.
• Adherence to the code of conduct, safety policies and values of the organization as defined.

Preferred candidate profile:

Applicant should be a Qualified B.Tech EEE D.EEE with experience in Hotel industry preferably able to communicate in Telugu language. Good at MEP Operations and Team management, Excellen Interpersonal skills. A team player.
