Brief Job Description: SML Limited is seeking an experienced full-time Cost Accountant at its Panoli, Ankleshwar plant. The Cost Accountant will be responsible for review of Product standard costing, Material balancing, Variance analysis, Cost audit reports, Maintaining material BOM, Accounting, taxation (GST & TDS) & other compliances related aspects at plant. The Cost Accountant will work closely with Finance team at HO, Plant Heads, Supply Chain team etc.
Responsibilities:
- To prepare monthly Product standard costing and analyze the variances, if any, with actual costing
- To manage & prepare Cost audit reports as required by law
- To review and set up Costing and Accounting procedure & policy and its periodical review
- To prepare & maintain Material BOM on monthly basis
- Handle plant stock audit periodically
- To manage monthly closing activities (GRIR, costing technical closure etc.), bill passing, Taxation (GST & TDS) & other compliances
- To prepare & analyse monthly factory overheads budget vs. actual
- To oversee accounting, taxation, stock & commercial aspects of Hexagon Containers
- Develop and manage annual and multi-year budgets that are adequate for the organization’s needs including preparation of periodic budget forecasts.
- Ensure operational compliance with policies, procedures and regulations for any necessary entities
Skills and Abilities:
- Well organized with good verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
- Work effectively with Plant team, Supply Chain team and consultants
- Work independently and organize tasks, set priorities, meet deadlines, and manage multiple tasks
- Demonstrate good judgment and good problem-solving skills
- Very good experience in Costing related matters/laws.
- Must have SAP-R3/HANA S4 knowledge
Personnel Competency:
- Self-starter & teamwork person,
- Able to work accurately in under-pressure and time bound assignments
Education Background:
ICWA with 8+ years’ experience in Manufacturing Company preferably from agrochemical or chemical industry.
