Role & responsibilities

Accounting & Financial Reporting

• Prepare standalone financial statements (Balance Sheet, Statement of Profit and Loss, Cash Flow Statement and Notes) in line with Ind AS / Indian GAAP and Schedule III requirements, ensuring accurate classification and disclosure.
• Perform variance analysis of key P&L and balance sheet items against prior periods.
• Perform detailed GL reconciliations and ledger scrutiny (banks, receivables, payables, advances, provisions, payroll, etc.) to finalize a clean trial balance for monthly, quarterly and annual closes.
• Prepare robust workings and supporting schedules (fixed assets, prepayments, accruals, provisions, inter-company, related parties) for financial statement line items.
• Execute period-end close activities (journals, accruals, reclassifications) and ensure timely closure as per the finance calendar, coordinating with AP, AR and other teams where required.

Compliance & Audit Support

• Prepare details for Form 3CD, cost audit annexures and various MCA and other regulatory filings, ensuring consistency with statutory books and Ind AS / Indian GAAP financials.
• Coordinate with statutory, internal and tax auditors, and support timely closure of audit queries and observations.
• Maintain proper documentation and recordkeeping of workings, approvals and supporting documents to meet audit trail and internal control requirements.

Preferred candidate profile

• 3 to 8 years of hands-on experience in Finance & Accounts.
• Experience in GL accounting, reconciliations and financial reporting as per Ind AS/ Indian GAAP is essential.
• Hands-on SAP / SAP S4 HANA (mandatory).
