Job Summary
The Manager Marketing & Communications will lead the strategic direction of ISPPs marketing, branding and communications function to strengthen the institutions visibility, reputation and growth. The role will be responsible for developing marketing and brand strategies, driving integrated campaigns, building institutional partnerships, and ensuring a consistent brand experience across all touchpoints.
The role will provide strategic guidance and oversight to the Communications team, enabling the development and execution of high-quality communication initiatives that align with ISPPs brand positioning and institutional priorities.

Key Responsibilities
- Marketing Strategy & Growth
- Develop and execute annual and quarterly integrated marketing plans for academic programmes, Executive Education, research initiatives, and institutional campaigns.
- Identify new opportunities to expand ISPPs reach, visibility, and engagement within the higher education, policy, and industry ecosystems.
- Drive targeted marketing initiatives that directly contribute to admissions growth, strategic partnerships, and overall institutional expansion.
- Brand Strategy & Positioning
- Lead the development and implementation of ISPPs brand strategy to solidify its positioning as Indias leading public policy institution.
- Drive long-term, institution-wide brand-building campaigns across programmes, research, events, and key institutional milestones.
- Ensure strict consistency in brand identity, messaging, visual standards, and tone of voice across all marketing initiatives and stakeholder touchpoints.
- Digital Marketing
- Lead digital marketing initiatives across SEO, SEM, paid media, LinkedIn, Meta, and other relevant platforms, working closely with agencies to optimize performance and maximize ROI.
- Build audience-specific digital campaigns to support admissions and Executive Education programmes, improving awareness and inquiries.
- Strengthen lead generation, nurturing, and conversion through CRM and marketing automation, while continuously monitoring and optimizing the admissions marketing funnel.
- Explore new digital channels and marketing technologies to increase audience engagement.
- Communications Leadership
- Provide strategic guidance, oversight, and mentorship to the Communications team to ensure high-quality execution of institutional messaging and storytelling.
- Review and oversee key communication assets and guide planning for major institutional campaigns, programme launches, policy events, and leadership announcements.
- Support ISPP leadership in strengthening the institutions reputation through strategic, high-impact communications.
- Reputation Management
- Manage crisis communication protocols to safeguard ISPPs reputation.
- Monitor public perception and proactively address misinformation or brand challenges.
Qualifications
- 6-10 years of experience in marketing, communications, or public affairs, preferably in higher education, public policy, think tanks, or research organizations.
- Demonstrated experience in brand strategy, digital marketing, and integrated marketing campaigns.
- Strong understanding of performance marketing, SEO/SEM, CRM and marketing analytics.
- Experience building and strengthening organisational brands.
- Exceptional writing and editorial skills, with a strong understanding of policy discourse.
- Ability to engage with media, policymakers, and corporate stakeholders.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to execute tactically in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent project management, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
