About the Role
We are hiring Senior Mainframe Tester to support critical banking applications for NAB. The role involves agile delivery, enhancements, production support, and participation in modernization initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain mainframe applications (COBOL, CICS, DB2)
- Work in agile squads with cross-functional teams
- Perform enhancements, defect fixes, and performance tuning
- Support production (L2/L3)
- Ensure compliance with banking security standards
- Participate in code reviews and sprint ceremonies
Mandatory Skills
COBOL, CICS, JCL, DB2, z/OS, VSAM/IMS, debugging & performance tuning
Banking Domain
Experience in BFSI domain (payments/lending/customer systems preferred) and understanding of regulatory environments
Process Expectations
Agile/Scrum experience, exposure to CI/CD, defect triage, and working with distributed teams
Soft Skills
Strong communication, ownership, problem-solving, ability to work in production-critical environments
Good to Have
Mainframe modernization, APIs, cloud exposure, ANZ banking experience
