Job Title - Mainframe Development Production support

Technical/Functional Skills

• Required Skills: Experience in Cobol programming on IBM Mainframe platform.

• In depth knowledge about IMS, DB2, Bind (Plan/Package)

• Hands-on experience in JCL, CICS, IBM Utilities

• Experience in Development and Enhancement using Cobol

• Good Analytical skills to fix the production job failures (Abend)

• Process / Tools: QMF, SPUFI, File Manager

• Good Verbal communication Technical documentation skills

• Language: English

Experience Required - 3+ years of experience in IBM Mainframe Development with good knowledge on the database, Hands-on experience for production support

Relevant Experience - 3+ years in IBM Mainframe, DB2 Development production support

Roles Responsibilities

• Carry out detailed analysis to understand requirements from the SME, Provide estimates.

• Create low level design document that depicts the detailed workflow diagrams/flowchart for proposed solution like sequence and algorithm.

• Apply knowledge of programming technologies to write/develop application programs using low level flowcharts prepared in design phase.

• Prepare the unit test cases and necessary documentation/package to support the production deployments.

• Production support for the Mainframe batch jobs during outside business hours.

• Participate in customer meetings and provide status updates.

• Update the application/project documentation, KEDB, SOP, etc.

Education - Bachelor s degree in engineering / science
