Role Summary

AIT is looking for a skilled Mainframe Developer with hands-on experience in COBOL

and batch processing. The role involves developing and maintaining core

mainframe applications, supporting batch job execution, and ensuring high system

reliability.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain applications using COBOL on mainframe systems
• Design, implement, and monitor batch processing jobs
• Write and manage JCL for job scheduling and execution
• Analyze system requirements and provide technical solutions
• Debug and resolve production issues in batch jobs and programs
• Work closely with QA, business analysts, and support teams
• Ensure proper documentation and adherence to coding standards.

Skills Required

• Strong experience in COBOL programming
• Experience with Batch Processing and job scheduling
• Proficiency in JCL (Job Control Language)
• Familiarity with mainframe systems (z/OS)
• Knowledge of VSAM and file processing
• Good troubleshooting and analytical skills.

Qualifications

• Experience with DB2
• Exposure to CICS
• Familiarity with scheduling tools like Control-M
• Experience in BFSI (Banking/Insurance) domain.

Soft Skills

• Strong communication skills
• Team collaboration and problem-solving mindset
• Ability to handle production support scenarios.
