- Mainframe Knowledge: Understanding of mainframe architecture and operations.
- Operating System: Proficiency in OS, including its components and functionalities.
- JCL (Job Control Language): Ability to write and manage JCL scripts for job processing.
- TSO/ISPF: Experience with Time Sharing Option/Interactive System Productivity Facility for interacting with the z/OS system.
- RACF (Resource Access Control Facility): Knowledge of security and access control using RACF.
- SDSF (System Display and Search Facility): Skills in monitoring and managing system resources.
- Programming Languages: Proficiency in languages such as COBOL, PL/I, Assembler, and REXX.
- Database Management: Experience with mainframe databases like DB2 and IMS.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills for resolving system issues.
- Networking: Understanding of mainframe networking concepts and protocols.
- System Utilities: Familiarity with various z/OS utilities and tools.
- Performance Tuning: Skills in optimizing system performance and resource utilization.
- Documentation: Ability to create and maintain detailed technical documentation.
