Maharashtra Rail Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (MRIDCL), also known as MahaRail, is a joint venture of the Government of Maharashtra and the Ministry of Railways, Government of India. It was established to implement railway projects in the state of Maharashtra, particularly those that are commercially unviable but strategically important for regional connectivity and socio-economic development. MahaRail focuses on developing new railway lines, gauge conversions, doubling/tripling of existing lines, railway electrification, and other related infrastructure projects. The company aims to improve rail connectivity, reduce congestion on existing routes, and promote industrial and economic growth in Maharashtra.
