Job Overview

• We are looking for an experienced Adobe Commerce / Magento 2 Developer with a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience to join our development team.
• The candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining, customizing, and optimizing our Adobe Commerce (Magento 2) e-commerce website. The role involves working on existing features, custom modules, third-party integrations, performance optimization, bug fixes, security enhancements, and new e-commerce functionality.
• The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of Magento 2 architecture and be comfortable working on a live e-commerce platform with multiple integrations and business-critical processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, customize, and maintain Adobe Commerce / Magento 2 applications.
  Work on existing website functionality, custom modules, and enhancements.
• Develop and maintain Magento 2 modules, observers, plugins, preferences, cron jobs, and APIs.
• Customize Magento backend/admin functionality based on business requirements.
  Work with Magento 2 REST APIs and GraphQL APIs.
• Develop and customize frontend components using PHTML, XML, Layout XML, Knockout.js, JavaScript, CSS, and LESS.
• Work with Magento EAV, catalog, customer, order, quote, payment, and inventory (MSI) functionality.
• Integrate and troubleshoot third-party services such as payment gateways, tax systems, ERP, CRM, shipping, S3, and other external services.
• Troubleshoot production issues and provide root-cause analysis and permanent fixes.
• Analyze and optimize website performance, database queries, indexing, caching, and API response times.
• Work with MySQL and optimize queries when required.
• Work with Redis/Valkey, OpenSearch/Elasticsearch, CDN and caching mechanisms.
• Handle Adobe Commerce upgrades, patches, security updates, and compatibility issues.
• Work with Git for source-code management and branching.
• Support deployment activities across development, staging, and production environments.
• Monitor application logs and troubleshoot server/application issues.
• Collaborate with frontend developers, QA engineers, DevOps engineers, product owners, and business teams.
• Participate in code reviews and follow coding standards and best practices.
• Prepare technical documentation when required.
  

Required Technical Skills

Must Have:

• 3+ years of professional experience with Magento 2 / Adobe Commerce.
• Strong knowledge of PHP 8.x and object-oriented programming.
• Strong understanding of Magento 2 architecture.
• Experience developing custom Magento 2 modules.
• Strong knowledge of MySQL.
• Experience with REST APIs and GraphQL.
• Good understanding of Magento EAV and database structure.
• Experience with Magento Catalog, Cart, Checkout, Customer and Order modules.
• Knowledge of Magento MSI / Inventory Management.
• Experience with Git and Git-based development workflows.
• Good debugging and problem-solving skills.
