Magento Developer

We are looking for a skilled Magento Backend Developer with 2+ years of experience to join our team.

You will be responsible for developing, customizing, and maintaining backend components of

Magento-based eCommerce websites.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop, maintain, and optimize Magento 2 modules and extensions according to specifications.

Create and implement custom plugins and preferences to extend Magento functionality without

modifying core code.

Develop event-driven solutions using Magentos event and observer system to handle complex

business logic.

Implement and optimize scheduled tasks using Magento cron jobs for data processing and

maintenance.

Build and integrate GraphQL APIs for headless commerce and modern frontend integration.

Implement REST/SOAP API integrations with third-party systems and troubleshoot integration

issues.

Optimize application performance through effective caching strategies (Varnish, Redis,

Application-level cache).

Manage and optimize database indexing and complex MySQL queries for performance.

Collaborate with frontend developers and QA teams to ensure quality integration of UI

components.

Ensure code quality by following Magento 2 coding standards, PHPCS, and best practices.

Participate in deployment and management of Magento applications in cloud environments.

Work independently and in coordination with team members for issue resolution and knowledge

sharing

Requirements:

2-4 years of hands-on experience in Magento 2 backend development.

Strong proficiency in PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.

Solid understanding of Magento 2 architecture, MVC pattern, and OOP principles.

Hands-on experience creating and maintaining Magento 2 modules and extensions.

Proficiency in creating plugins and preferences to extend Magento core functionality.

Understanding of Magento event systems and development of event observers.

Experience implementing and troubleshooting scheduled cron jobs.

Knowledge of REST API development and integration with Magento 2.

Experience with GraphQL API development in Magento 2.

Familiarity with Magento 2 caching mechanisms (full-page cache, block cache, query cache).

Understanding of database indexing and optimization techniques.

Experience working with version control systems (Git).

Good problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.

Strong communication skills and collaborative team approach.

Preferred Qualifications:

Understanding of Varnish cache configuration and management.

Magento 2 Certified Developer certification.

Experience with Adobe Commerce Cloud deployment and management.

Experience with performance testing and profiling tools.
