Logistics Incharge

To manage end-to-end inbound and outbound logistics/transportation for the plant, ensuring cost-effective,

timely and safe movement of raw materials and finished goods.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Plan and manage inbound logistics for raw materials (steel, chemicals, consumables) from vendors to

factory

• Plan and manage outbound logistics/transportation of finished goods (PUF Panels, PEB, Sheets) to

customer/project sites across states

• Identify, empanel and negotiate rates with transporters/fleet owners for different routes and vehicle

types

• Monitor freight cost and work towards optimizing logistics cost without compromising delivery timelines
• Coordinate with Dispatch, Purchase, Production and Sales teams for smooth material movement

planning

• Track vehicles in transit and ensure timely resolution of transit issues (delays, damage, breakdowns)
• Ensure compliance with transport documentation E-Way Bill, LR, insurance, permits, etc.
• Maintain logistics MIS – vehicle-wise, route-wise and vendor-wise cost and performance data
• Handle transporter bill verification, reconciliation and coordinate with Accounts for payment
• Ensure safe loading/unloading practices and adherence to safety norms during transportation
• Supervise dispatch and logistics team members for day-to-day operations
