Job Description
Role & responsibilities
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Mortgage Underwriter with 24 years of hands-on experience in live US mortgage underwriting, specializing in Non-QM loan programs. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in evaluating residential mortgage loan applications, assessing borrower eligibility, analyzing credit risk, and making sound underwriting decisions in accordance with investor and company guidelines.
Required Experience
- 2–4 years of Live Mortgage Underwriting experience
- Mandatory experience in Non-QM Underwriting
Required Key Skills
- Credit risk assessment (4Cs)
- Income calculation (Salaried & Self-Employed)
- Bank Statement & Full Doc underwriting
- DSCR knowledge preferer
- Review of appraisals, title, lien position & ownership document
- Loan structuring & underwriting decision
- Experience working on Encompass LOS
- Strong communication skill
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor's Degree (Mandatory)
Working Condition
- Full-time position in an on-site work environment
- Requires management of multiple loan files and deadlines simultaneously
- Work Schedule: US Shift (6:30 PM – 6:30 AM) with rotational 9-hour shifts.
