Litigation Manager

JD would be as follows:

Key Responsibilities:

• Litigation Management:
• Monitor and manage all litigation cases (civil, criminal, consumer, labour, arbitration, etc.) in the zone.
• Prepare and review legal pleadings, affidavits, and other documents.
• Represent the company before courts and tribunals when required.
• Coordination with Stakeholders:
• Liaise with external counsels, law firms, and local advocates for case updates and strategies.
• Coordinate with internal departments (sales, operations, HR, etc.) to gather case facts, evidence, and documents.
• Case Tracking & Reporting:
• Maintain litigation trackers, MIS reports, and dashboards for management review.
• Analyse trends in litigations and suggest preventive legal measures.
• Compliance & Advisory:
• Ensure compliance with court directions, legal deadlines, and regulatory obligations.
• Provide legal advice to business functions on matters with litigation risk potential.
• Documentation & Risk Mitigation:
• Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping related to all ongoing and potential litigations.
• Contribute to drafting SOPs and policies to mitigate litigation risks.

Key Skills & Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of civil, criminal, labour, and commercial laws
• Experience in court proceedings and legal drafting
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Stakeholder management across levels
• High attention to detail and time management
• Tech-savvy with exposure to litigation management tools (preferred)

Qualifications & Experience:

• Educational Qualification: LLB / LLM from a recognized university
• Experience: with at least 35 years in a zonal or regional litigation management role
• Industry Preference: Banking / NBFC
