Job Description
TGS Solution is looking for Linux Server Admin to join our dynamic team and embark on a rewarding career journey
Install, configure, and maintain Linux server operating systems and associated software applications
Perform system monitoring, troubleshooting, and problem resolution to ensure high availability and performance of Linux servers
Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls on Linux servers
Implement and maintain system security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and access controls
Conduct regular system backups and implement disaster recovery procedures
Monitor system performance and resource utilization, optimizing server performance through configuration tuning and capacity planning
Collaborate with the IT team to design and implement server infrastructure upgrades and expansions
Respond to and resolve user requests and incidents related to Linux server operations
Maintain documentation of server configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides
Stay updated with the latest Linux server technologies, security vulnerabilities, and best practices
Requirements:Proven experience as a Linux System Administrator or similar role
Proficiency in Linux server administration, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting
In-depth knowledge of Linux server operating systems (eg, Ubuntu, CentOS, Red Hat)
Familiarity with virtualization technologies (eg, VMware, KVM) and containerization (eg, Docker, Kubernetes)
Strong understanding of networking protocols, TCP/IP, and network security concepts
Experience with server monitoring and management tools (eg, Nagios, Zabbix)
Knowledge of scripting languages (eg, Bash, Python) for automation and task scheduling
Understanding of system backup and recovery processes
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with team members and end-users
Optional, but desirable:Certifications such as CompTIA Linux+, Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE), or LPIC (Linux Professional Institute Certification)
Experience with cloud platforms (eg, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
Familiarity with configuration management tools (eg, Ansible, Puppet)
Knowledge of web servers (eg, Apache, Nginx) and database management systems (eg, MySQL, PostgreSQL)
