Job Title: Linux System Administrator

Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled Linux System Administrator with experience in managing Linux servers, virtualization, Windows infrastructure, and enterprise IT operations. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with RHEL/CentOS/Ubuntu, VMware, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, backup solutions, and system monitoring.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, administer, and troubleshoot Linux servers (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu).
• Perform server patching, upgrades, security hardening, and performance tuning.
• Manage VMware virtual infrastructure, including VM provisioning, cloning, snapshots, and resource allocation.
• Administer basic Windows Server environments, including user and group management.
• Manage and troubleshoot Active Directory (AD), DNS, and DHCP services.
• Monitor server health, storage, CPU, memory, and network performance using monitoring tools.
• Perform backup, restoration, and disaster recovery activities.
• Configure user accounts, file systems, permissions, and storage management.
• Troubleshoot server, network, and application issues while ensuring high availability.
• Create and maintain system documentation, SOPs, and operational procedures.
• Coordinate with application, network, and security teams for infrastructure support.
• Ensure compliance with security policies and industry best practices.

Required Skills:

• Strong knowledge of Linux Administration (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu).
• Experience with VMware vSphere/ESXi administration.
• Basic administration of Windows Server.
• Good understanding of Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP.
• Experience with backup and recovery solutions.
• Knowledge of system monitoring and alerting tools.
• Familiarity with shell scripting (Bash) is an added advantage.
• Understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, SSH, FTP, NFS, SMB).
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
