Job Purpose:
To ensure uninterrupted, safe, and efficient operation of press shop equipment by leading mechanical maintenance activities during the assigned shift, minimizing breakdowns, and maintaining machines at optimal performance.

Key Responsibilities:
Maintenance Operations
Supervise and execute preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of press shop machines (mechanical presses, feeders, conveyors, decoilers).
Troubleshoot and rectify mechanical faults related to clutches, brakes, gearboxes, bearings, lubrication systems, hydraulics pneumatics.
Ensure machine availability as per production plan and reduce unplanned downtime.
Coordinate with production team for planned maintenance and changeovers
Team Leadership
Lead and manage technicians and fitters during the shift.
Allocate jobs, monitor work quality, and ensure adherence to maintenance standards.
Provide on-the-job training and guidance to technicians.
Safety Compliance
Ensure strict compliance with safety standards, LOTO, PPE usage, and statutory norms.
Conduct safety checks before machine release after maintenance.
Participate in safety audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
Spare Parts Documentation
Monitor spares consumption,
Maintain maintenance logs, breakdown reports, checklists, and shift handover records.
Support root cause analysis (RCA) and implementation of corrective preventive actions (CAPA).
Continuous Improvement
Participate in Kaizen, TPM, PM pillar activities, and cost-reduction initiatives.
Suggest modifications and improvements to enhance machine reliability and safety.
Support installation, commissioning, and trials of new equipment or modifications.

Qualifications Experience:
Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
58 years of experience in mechanical maintenance, preferably in Press Shop / Automotive Manufacturing
Hands-on experience with high-tonnage presses and automation
