About the Role

Berry Developers is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Legal Compliance Assistant to support the legal and secretarial functions of the organization. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in the real estate sector, regulatory compliance, RERA compliance, legal documentation, and secretarial record management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle end-to-end RERA compliance, including filing, updates, and documentation.
  • Draft, review, and coordinate legal notices and replies.
  • Maintain statutory and secretarial records, registers, and compliance documentation.
  • Assist in legal documentation related to real estate projects, agreements, and contracts.
  • Coordinate with internal departments, consultants, and regulatory authorities for legal and compliance matters.
  • Track compliance deadlines and ensure timely statutory filings.
  • Support the Company Secretary and legal team in corporate compliance activities.
  • Maintain records of litigation, notices, agreements, and legal correspondence.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable real estate laws, RERA regulations, and other statutory requirements.
  • Prepare compliance reports and maintain accurate documentation.

Eligibility Criteria

Qualification:

  • CA Inter or CS Inter (completed internship preferred)
  • Bachelor's degree in Law, Commerce, or a related field will be an added advantage.

Experience:

  • 2–3 years of relevant experience in legal compliance within the real estate industry (mandatory).

Required Skills

  • Strong knowledge of RERA compliance and real estate regulations.
  • Experience in drafting and replying to legal notices.
  • Knowledge of secretarial compliance and statutory record maintenance.
  • Good understanding of corporate and legal documentation.
  • Strong drafting and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple compliance timelines.
  • High attention to detail and confidentiality.

Preferred Candidate Profile

  • Experience working with a real estate developer.
  • Familiarity with company law and corporate compliance.
  • Well-organized with excellent documentation and record management skills.
  • Ability to coordinate effectively with legal consultants and government authorities.
