Job Title: Legal & Compliance Specialist

Job Summary
As an Assistant Manager Legal & Compliance at MediBuddy, you will play a key role in ensuring legal and regulatory compliance across business operations. This includes managing the agreement portfolio, contract lifecycle, compliance reporting, litigation management and process automation. You will collaborate cross-functionally to mitigate legal risks, drive efficiency, and ensure timely reporting and monitoring of compliance matters.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Review, draft, negotiate, and manage a wide range of commercial agreements and documents; ensure efficient handling of the agreement portfolio and contractual risk management.
  • Maintain, update and monitor contract lifecycle through contract management tools & tracker.
  • Co-ordinate and engage with internal and external stakeholder discussions to derive legally sound and commercially viable solutions.
  • Familiarity & work adaptability with legal automation and AI tools for data reporting, CLM cycle processes.
  • Co-ordinate with external counsel for litigation management; draft responses, affidavits and court documents to safeguard the company's interests.
  • Track, assess and communicate changes in applicable laws including labour laws, healthcare regulations, legal metrology, consumer protection regulations and data protection laws.
  • Develop and maintain compliance MIS and reports; assist in preparation of weekly/monthly dashboards and management presentations.
  • Support legal aspects of fundraising, investor due diligence and associated documentation.
  • Assist in other compliance and reporting activities.
  • Identify and drive legal process automation opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce risk.


Education and Skillset

  • Bachelor's degree in law (LL.B or equivalent); LLM is a plus.
  • 2-5 years of experience in legal and compliance functions; healthcare sector exposure is an advantage.
  • Proficient in contract drafting, negotiation with strong legal acumen.
  • Hands-on experience with contract management tools.
  • Strong MS Excel and presentation skills; automation & AI tools; familiarity with compliance tracking tools and MIS generation.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills with a problem-solving mindset.
