Lead Technical Writer

Cyient is seeking a highly qualified Technical Writer - Team Lead to oversee our technical documentation projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical, aerospace, or automobile engineering, with 6-10 years of experience in the rail transportation, heavy engineering, automobile, or aerospace domains. This role requires expertise in technical publication projects, including authoring, writing, illustrations, parts catalogs, and e-learning portal development. The Technical Writer Team Lead will also be responsible for managing tools such as Adobe FrameMaker, Arbortext Editor, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Team Center, PDM, etc. Strong customer interaction and project management skills are essential for success in this position.

Qualifications and Responsibilities:

• Education: AME/Diploma/B.E/B.Tech in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Automobile Engineering.
• Experience: 6-10 years of overall work experience.
• Domain: Previous work experience in Rail Transportation, Heavy Engineering, Automobile, or Aerospace domains.
• Sound Knowledge: Proficiency in technical authoring, technical writing, basics of illustrations, parts catalogs, and e-learning portal development.
• Technical Skills: Experience with technical publication tools such as Adobe FrameMaker, Arbortext Editor, Oxygen XML, Adobe Illustrator, IsoDraw, Adobe Photoshop, Epic Editor, Team Center, PDM, etc.
• Leadership: Ability to lead a team of technical writers, providing guidance, support, and mentorship.
• Project Management: Experience in customer interaction and project management activities, ensuring timely delivery of documentation projects.
• Communication: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
