Lead Machine Learning Engineer

About the Role

Blackstraw Technologies is looking for a Lead Machine Learning Engineer to design, build, and deploy scalable AI/ML solutions for enterprise customers. The ideal candidate will lead end-to-end ML development, mentor engineering teams, and deliver production-ready AI applications leveraging Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and Generative AI technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable ML and AI solutions.
• Build and deploy predictive models, deep learning models, and GenAI applications.
• Develop RAG pipelines, AI Agents, semantic search, and recommendation systems.
• Collaborate with Data Engineering and MLOps teams for production deployments.
• Optimize model performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Mentor engineers and drive technical excellence.

• Machine Learning: Supervised/Unsupervised Learning, Feature Engineering, Time Series, Anomaly Detection
• Deep Learning: PyTorch, TensorFlow
• Generative AI: LLMs, RAG, LangChain/LangGraph, Prompt Engineering, AI Agents
• Vector Databases: FAISS, Milvus, Pinecone, ChromaDB
• Cloud & MLOps: Azure/AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, MLflow, CI/CD
• Data Engineering: Spark/PySpark, Databricks

Qualifications

• Bachelor's/Master's Engineering degree in Computer Science, AI, Data Science, or related field.
• 815+ years of hands-on experience in Machine Learning and AI engineering.
• Experience leading enterprise AI projects and mentoring technical teams.
