Job Description
Role & responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end ML initiatives across retail use cases
- Architect and deploy ML models
- Design and manage Cloudflare R2 object storage
- Define metadata standards, indexing, and cataloging strategies on R2
- Integrate R2 with ML pipelines, APIs, and inference services
- Own ML lifecycle: training, deployment, monitoring, retraining
- Implement MLOps best practices and cost-efficient storage strategies
- Work closely with business, merchandising, supply chain, and IT teams
- Mentor ML engineers and review architecture & code
- Translate retail KPIs into ML success metrics
Preferred candidate profile:
- Expert proficiency in Python
- Strong knowledge of Machine Learning, Statistics, and Optimization
- Hands-on experience with Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch
- Strong experience in time-series forecasting
- Experience deploying ML models at scale (batch & real-time)
- Strong SQL skills
- Hands-on experience with Cloudflare R2 Object Storage
- Experience in data cataloging, metadata management, and indexing
- Solid software engineering & system design skills
Leadership & Soft Skills:
- Proven experience leading ML teams
- Strong stakeholder management with retail business teams
- Ability to convert business problems into ML-driven solutions
- Mentorship and ownership mindset
Educational Qualification:
- Bachelors / Master’s degree in CS, AI, Data Science, or related field
- Equivalent hands-on experience accepted
