Job Description

JD:
  • Act as hands on technical lead across data engineering workstreams
  • Design, build, and optimise large scale data pipelines and data lake solutions
  • Build and maintain AWS native data platforms
  • Implement DevOps and Infrastructure as Code practices using Terraform and CI/CD pipelines
  • Ensure configuration as code principles are consistently applied
  • Embed automated testing and data quality best practices
  • Provide technical direction and mentoring to engineers within the team
Required Skills & Experience
  • Proven Lead / Principal level Engineering experience in a large or enterprise organisation
  • Extensive experience with AWS data services, including:
Glue
S3
Lake Formation
EventBridge
Lambda
  • Strong experience building data pipelines and data lake architectures
  • Solid DevOps experience including Terraform, CI/CD pipelines, Git, and Jenkins
  • Working knowledge of AWS SageMaker Studio
  • Advanced programming skills in Python
  • Experience with API integration and configuration as code approaches
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to investigate and reconcile large datasets
  • Experience implementing automated testing methodologies
