Lead Engineer - I_Mulesoft

Job Summary

As a Lead Engineer - MuleSoft, you will lead a team of MuleSoft developers and BAs within the GCC, owning solution design, sprint delivery, and technical standards. The MuleSoft Lead Engineer will define the client s target-state integration architecture, including API-led connectivity, event-driven solutions, hybrid Cloud integration, and deployment strategies.

Responsibilities

• Define client s target-state enterprise integration architecture including API-led connectivity layers, event-driven patterns, and hybrid Cloud integration strategy.
• Architect the MuleSoft platform strategy consisting of CloudHub 2.0 vs. Runtime Fabric decisions, deployment topology, and multi-environment governance.
• Design client s API governance framework including API design standards, lifecycle management, versioning strategy, and consumption analytics.
• Architect integration solutions for client s most complex use cases that consists of multi-ERP harmonization (SAP+Oracle), cross-segment data flows, and real-time event processing.
• Lead the remaining WebMethods-to-MuleSoft migration including architecture assessment, migration patterns, and parity validation frameworks.
• Design the integration security architecture which consists of API gateway policies, OAuth 2.0 provider configuration, mTLS, rate limiting, and threat protection.
• Architect event-driven integration patterns using Anypoint MQ, Apache Kafka, and Salesforce Platform Events for real-time data synchronization.
• Define integration testing strategy including contract testing, integration testing, performance testing, and chaos engineering for integration resilience.
• Partner with client s Data and AI team to architect data ingestion pipelines from SAP/Salesforce/ServiceNow into Databricks/Snowflake.
• Mentor L3 leads and establish integration architecture community of practice within the GCC.

Educational Qualifications

• Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related discipline.
• Technical certification in multiple technologies is desirable.
• Cloud architecture certifications (AWS/Azure) complementing MuleSoft expertise
• MuleSoft Certified

Skills

Mandatory Technical Skills:

• Minimum 5 to 7 years of integration/middleware experience with at least 4 years in MuleSoft
• Architect (MCA) - Integration or Platform Architect level
• Expertise in enterprise integration patterns (EIP), API design, and event-driven architecture
• Experience in architecting integrations for large enterprises with complex application landscapes (over 50 connected systems)
• Strong knowledge of API security, identity federation, and data protection in regulated industries
• Experience in multiple middleware platforms (MuleSoft + WebMethods/TIBCO/IBM) for migration architecture

Good to Have Skills:

• Experience in healthcare interoperability standards (HL7 FHIR, DICOM) - relevant for client s connected care platform (Incada)
• Knowledge of B2B gateway architecture for supply chain partner integrations
• Experience in MedTech or pharmaceutical industry integration environments
• Familiarity with Capgeminis integration delivery methodology (for transition management)
• Experience with healthcare interoperability, B2B integrations, MedTech or pharmaceutical environments, and cloud architecture certifications is preferred.
