Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Lead DevOps Engineer to join our multidisciplinary team. As part of this dynamic team, you will be working alongside product managers, designers, and engineers to drive technological solutions that lead to lasting change. Location: Bangalore.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure solutions with a primary focus on Azure and secondary cloud platforms like AWS.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitLab, GitHub, or similar.
- Apply best practices in Infrastructure as Code (IaaC), with tools like Terraform, ARM Templates, or CloudFormation.
- Lead initiatives in the team and actively support the DevOps roadmap.
- Ensure security and compliance through the integration of security tools like static/dynamic analysis, vulnerability scanning, and intrusion detection systems.
- Utilize Kubernetes and container technologies to streamline deployment processes.
- Implement Monitoring and Alarming using tools such as Datadog, New Relic, Dynatrace, Splunk, and the ELK stack.
- Collaborate closely with other DevOps engineers and lead continuous improvements across the platform.
- Work within Agile (Scrum/Kanban) methodologies using tools like JIRA and Confluence.
- Provide guidance on troubleshooting and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) across various environments.
Technical Skills Required
- 7-10 years of experience in a DevOps Engineer role.
- Expertise in AWS (primary) and Azure (secondary) cloud platforms.
- Familiarity with Kubernetes and container orchestration.
- Hands-on experience in building CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitLab, GitHub, or similar.
- Strong scripting skills in Python, Java, Bash, .NET, or similar for automation and tool integration.
- Experience with security tools and concepts (firewalls, vulnerabilities, intrusion detection, etc.).
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaaC), especially Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Experience with RCA, monitoring, and alarming tools like Datadog, New Relic, Dynatrace, Splunk, ELK stack.
- Azure Administrator Associate, AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate, or Terraform Associate certifications.
- Understanding of mobile app deployments on Android and iOS using tools like Fastlane and TestFlight.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes is a plus.
- Familiarity with security services in AWS like Web Application Firewall, GuardDuty, API Security, and Imperva.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in computer science or related field.
- 5+ years of experience working on cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), microservices, serverless, containers, and CI/CD.
- 5+ years of experience with IaaC tools like Terraform, Ansible, or Chef.
- Proficient in Git and version control best practices.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to act with minimal direction.
- A team player with a start-up/entrepreneurial mindset.
- Passion for continuous learning, problem-solving, and adopting new technologies.
- Effective communication skills.
