Job Description

Job Accountabilities:

• Provide support in preparing Well Plans and supervise the execution of daily rig, hydraulic fracturing (HF), and completion operations as per RIL HSE policies and other guidelines.

• Ensure compliance with all safety requirements as per DGMS and QA/QC standards for wells and completion equipment, and ensure operations are carried out in an environmentally responsible manner.

• Coordinate with G&G, LAQ, and Civil teams for the availability of well sites. Also participate in joint site surveys to ensure that sites and ARs are constructed to enable the easy movement of rigs and HF equipment to the sites.

• Maintain the drilling and completion database in an updated state.

• Assist in preparing the AFE and budget for Drilling & Completion (D&C), and closely monitor actual well costs against the AFE/Budget. Also review and process, wherever required, contractors' monthly invoices in line with the provisions of the respective Contracts/POs/Work Orders.

• Bring out all critical issues relating to operations and manpower.

• Evaluate and monitor contractors' performance to ensure continuous improvement in their services and compliance with safety, contractual, procedural, and regulatory requirements.

• Assist in developing various Scopes of Work and technical specifications for Drilling & Well Completion equipment for tender packages, ensuring alignment with engineering standards and operational requirements.

• Plan with a focus on minimizing downhole complications and assist in resolving various downhole complications as and when required.


Skills & Competencies:

• Technical knowledge of planning and execution of drilling, hydraulic fracturing, completion, CTU, and pump-setting operations.

• Techno-commercial understanding.


Education Required:

Bachelor's degree or higher qualification in Petroleum Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.


Experience Required:

Minimum 10 years of experience in Drilling and Completion within the CBM or upstream (E&P) oil and gas industry. Experience working in a CBM field would be preferred.
